A
fantastic time for the Irish this week, and it all was
experienced at Jameson's Bangkok. First
up was St. Patrick's Day where our Guinness
promotion took centre stage and gallons of the 'black
stuff' was drunk in celebration....and of course because
it was cheaper than usual..! Second up was their tremendous
win over Wales in the Six Nations to win the Grand Slam.
St. Patrick's Day also
saw the arrival of the 2 new pool tables which proved
to be a great addition to Jameson's Bangkok.
I made the challenge to a few of the regulars but St.
Patrick Day celebrations made playing pool a
little more difficult than a usual Tuesday night. Pool
and several pints of Guinness do not make for the perfect
match (at least not for me). Playing pool with your eyes
half closed doesn't make good viewing.....at least that's
what Stephen Hendry told me when he visited here....!

This week also saw a birthday for one of our new customers,
Tuk Tuk. She and her two friends enjoyed
a good fun night playing pool, drinking beer and slamming
tequilas...the way a birthday should be celebrated.
Of course they left a little wobbly but still managed
to return the next day for a repeat performance. Well
done girls!!!

The
weekend sport promises to be very interesting with the return
of Formula One on Sunday and a week off
from the Premiership for some International Football including
World Cup Qualifiers and a few friendlies.
The main event of the weekend has to be the world famous
Hong Kong Rugby Sevens starting on Friday
afternoon. For more details just check out our

Alex joined us for
his favourite pint and a basket of chips, he claims that
our chips are the best in Bangkok! Why not pop in on Friday
night to ask him or try for yourself…. |

Finally, a special mention to Gerraldine and
Terry from Romford in England. They were here
for lunch and dinner every day during their stay in Bangkok
and are now travelling on to Vietnam for a country wide
trip.
